The TRX Suspension Trainer claims to use your bodyweight for optimal resistance training. However, I’ve spoken to trainers about this product and they told me that if you’re going to use your own weight for training, that’s all you need. The TRX just gets in the way of the efficiency of using your own body weight for training.
For example, when you use the TRX for a chest exercise, you stand up and lean forward (like a standing bench press). Instead, if you were to get on the ground and do a simple push up, you’re using far more body weight for resistance which is more efficient. It’s the same principle for lunges, pullups, etc.
Furthermore, the rings are both attached to the same single strap, so you don’t get as much muscle isolation as independent straps or dumbells.
BOTTOM LINE: don’t spend 150 bucks to use your own body weight as resistance. You can do that for free! And you’ll get a better workout from it.

I’m looking for a product such as this, and don’t know if this is good or not since I don’t own it, but only a damn fool would not be able to tell that the reviews are phony, written by the company or their stooges-besides the obvious text similarities, and obvious company type comments, when was the last time 25 people gave 5 stars on any product? well look up your favorite major brand name device, one that you think is great and see how many people in a row gave it 5 stars and wrote reviews that sounded like company promotional material!!Just on principle I’m not buying–

I’m not one to buy into fitness fads and I’ve never “pushed” product to anyone, but this piece of exercise equipment is outstanding! If Fitness Anywhere markets the TRX well and more importantly, educates and informs TRX users – you’ll soon see them everywhere.
I’ve been using the TRX almost exclusively for five-plus months – along with plenty of cardio. For the first twelve weeks, I followed the training program included in the TRX Force Training Kit. If you follow the program consistently… and for all twelve weeks, you’ll be in tremendous shape – likely the best core shape you’ve ever experienced. Bottom line, the TRX fully incorporates muscular strength, muscular endurance, core strength, flexibility, power, balance, and alignment. The TRX does it all.
Have you TRX’d – if not, you need to!

A few months back I sent away for the TRX. I’m now training twice the clients and getting results in my own body I never thought I’d see. How’s serious ab-definition in a 53 yr old trainer sound? My clients love it, particularly the ones who tend not to like other kinds of exercise. I think it’s the skill and balance, and the versatility, that pulls them in. And all I have to do is use it where others can see it and I get questions and then trials – and then clients. This is no joke, no mere “fad”. The TRX is the real deal, and the company is totally professional.
Do I sound like a believer? You will be too, so give it a shot – or don’t. But if you don’t I’ll take your clients myself!

I also posted in the “regular” model TRX (and added a photo there) – but I love this tool so much I had to let everyone know about it. Your own bodyweight and a place to anchor the TRX are all you need to get a great workout, no matter what your current fitness level.
If you are looking for a tool that can “cover a lot of bases” in a small package, that you can even take with you traveling (great for business trips) – the TRX is the only tool you need. You’ll get a great full body strength workout, easily adjustable to your own fitness level. Please note that it’s adjustability however, does NOT mean it’ll be too easy for someone who’s already in great shape; it truly can be used by nearly anyone.
If I had the money, I’d buy one of these for everyone I know!
