Well, i bought one for my son for his 14 year old birthday, he loved it!
But, he got hurt on it and got 8 stitches in his chin! and his friend broke his arm on one of these!
Well, thats dangerous for you,but it would be a good product if it wasnt dangerous.

My 8 year old son bought the RipStik with his saving and I we hate it. He is good with skates and skateboards but can only ride this a couple of feet. I read the reviews on Amazon and people said the product was great and how fun it was. He has tried to ride it and cannot get more than a few feet. I definitely do not recommend this product for a child. It says 8 and up but I would not even consider it unless they are in their high teens. I am very disappointed that he spent so much money and cannot ride it. The wheels spin forward and backward and in a circle at the same time. I tried to stand on it and had to hold the counter to keep my balance. It is very hard to balance because of the way the wheels spin. Would never buy this again.

What they don’t say before you buy is that you can expect to eat up wheels with this board. A 16 year old at 150 pounds ate up the wheels that came with the board in under two weeks.
When contated to ask why, the company immediately blames the inexperience of the rider and tells you to buy more wheels. At $12-$20 per set of replacement wheels, the additional costs mount up quickly. The purchase price is only the start with this product. If your going to buy this, you must also purchase additional wheels. Otherwise the board will sit idle until you can get them.
That having been said, the board is otherwise enjoyable and fun to use.

We had to return this product. The back wheel kept sticking and it was very disappointing.
